Psychopedagogy Specialization

Academic aims:

  1. Training specialists in the domain of Psychology aims at acquiring theoretical knowledge and practical skills, behaviours and attitudes, in a coherent approach, reflected by the academic curriculum and in accordance with the provisions of the Higher Education Qualifications National Framework worked out in 2011.
  2. Developing professional and transversal skills in accordance with the Romanian Higher Education Operational System of Qualifications, in general and specific to the Psychology domain.

 

The professional skills acquired by the Psychology graduates are:

    1. Operating upon the fundamental concepts in the Psychology domain
    2. Designing and doing the research work
    3. The critical evaluation of the problematical situations and of the possible solutions
    4. The psychological evaluation of the individual, group and organization
    5. Designing and performing psychological interventions
    6. Relationships and interpersonal communication

The transversal skills:

  • Practicing the professional tasks according to the deontological principles specific to this domain
  • Applying the efficient teamwork techniques in the different career departments
  • Self-evaluation of the continuous training needs in order to adapt the professional skills to the social context dynamics

 

At the end of the bachelor’s degree studies with the duration of 3 years, the graduates obtain the Degree Diploma in Psychology and also the necessary skills in order to follow master’s degree programs in the domains of psychology, educational sciences and sociology; thus special psychopedagogy specialization is an interdisciplinary science, being at the crossroads of psychology, pedagogy, sociology and medicine.
